Dexter Garden Design is a Brighton based company established in 2000.

Our trademark is to blend bold, modern forms with natural inspired organic abstraction. Our gardens are often practical and are built by skilled professionals.

Land-formations and the local geology of the region is the main influence to our work. The garden design is then developed around a central theme or idea.

All hard garden landscaping is specified with technical CAD plans to ensure that garden ponds and walls are built accurately. Bringing wildlife into the contemporary garden is a key aim of our work. A garden pond, or a well designed planting plan will immediately attract birds and insects. Many of my London gardens are enlivened by influx of wildlife. London, like many urban area, rely of wildlife corridors to allow species migration. It is important to frame wildlife gardens within the geometry of a modern garden.

Our planting plans are often inspired by the surrounding flora also. A fully specified planting plan allows the client to see where the newly planted species are located. The planting plan also comes with a schedule that explains the maintenance routine. The planting plan also features a maintenance schedule and photographs of each of the species selected.

Nick Dexter is a registered member of the Society of Garden Design. All registered members of the Society of Garden Designers have been certified for professional conduct and practical experience (e.g. building garden ponds or creating planting plans.) This removes the worry when considering who to choose for your garden design or where you will find a skilled garden designer or landscape gardener.
